Open-hearth plant 
Open-hearth plant comprises 4 open-hearth furnaces of load 180 tons. The furnaces were commissioned in 1913. Before 8 furnaces had operated in the open-hearth plant. The steel is poured from the ladle into molds of capacity 4,5 t.; 5,25 t. and 5,5 t. through slide gates using siphon method. In 2003 a ladle furnace for out-of furnace steel treatment produced by Italian company Danieli was put into operation. The plant produces more than 200 grades of high quality steel.
At the present time the open-hearth plant is being under reconstruction. A modern steelmaking complex is being built.
Major tasks of the plant:
- manufacture of high quality steel of required composition;
- providing heavy section mill with hot ingots.
