Heavy section shop 
Heavy section shop includes a rolling mill "850" consisting of three stands for rolling ingots coming from the open-hearth plant. The plant produces commercial rolled metal and round billets of 140-280 mm. dia. and blooms of 130 and 170 mm for section rolling shop. On January 19, 1896 the shop manufactured its first product - rails. At the same period due to reequipment the plant increased the volume of production and introduced new kinds of products.
Major tasks of the shop:
- production of finished rolled metal;
- production of billets for section rolling shop |
