Calibration shop 
Calibration shop consists of two departments. It is equipped with domestic and foreign machines and lines for cold drawing of rolled metal, turning and burnishing. The workshop was put into operation in 1933.
A special technology for production of hollow pump rods for submersible pumps applied in oil industry and hollow steel with special surface finish has been introduced at the 2nd department
Major tasks of the shop:
- production of calibrated steel which includes the following steps;
- thermal treatment of rolled metal in bogie box furnaces;
- processing of metal before drawing (flattening, pointing and conditioning of semifinished rolled products);
- pickling metal in sulfuric acid solution;
- cold drawing of round and hexagonal metal;
- production of round bars using scalping machines;
- ecrystallization annealing of metal using HDTV;
- production of oil pumping rods.
