Nikolay Sobakin was born on November 18, 1953

In 1981 Mr. Sobakin graduated from Serov Metallurgical Technical School with a diploma of technician-mechanic; in 1996 he graduated from Shadrinsk Finance and Economy College with a diploma of lawyer.

Nikolai Sobakin started his labor activity at preproduction department of Metallurgical plant n/a A. K. Serov, where during 1975-88 he rose from locksmith, foreman on material hauling, mechanic, Deputy Chief, Chief of department. From 1988 he served as auxiliary facilities administrator, from 1995 he was appointed Assistant General Director on mobilization work, civil defense and emergencies department - head of special security office. From 1999 N. N. Sobakin was Deputy General Director on mobilization work, civil defense and emergencies.

From 2000 N. N. Sobakin was Deputy General Director on mobilization work, from 2003, due to delegation of powers of the managing company UMMC-Holding he has been Deputy Director on mobilization work.
